    Starting Thursday, Feb 8th - Explore the message and work of the Old Testament Prophets as messengers of God with instructions to care for others in need. "Prophets as God's Messengers for Social Justice" Bible Study with Pastor Dianne Wendt is starting Thursday, February 8th through Thursday, May 9th from 1pm to 2:30pm. Join Pastor Dianne from Lutheran Church of the Cross Sacramento at St. John's Lutheran Church in Sacramento, CA. The sessions will also be available on Zoom. See image below for more details.     Sunday, April 21 - You're Invited to our Women of the ELCA's Annual "Spudtactular" Baked Potato fundraising event on Sunday, April 21st at 12:30pm. This year we are mixing it up and celebrating Earth Day too! So bring your "mug" and own mug to the event and help support our Women's group ministries as processed will benefit Wind Youth Services, LSS of Northern California, Rock Point Navajo Lutheran Mission & School, Rolling Hills Blue Star Moms and more!  Whole Potato for $10.00 and ½ for $8.00 includes all the toppings your can pile on!     Friday, June 28 - Church of the Cross and St. Luke's Lutheran Churches will be co-hosting with Sierra Pacific Synod Women of the ELCA "Courageous Conversations" to learn about St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Cairo, Egypt and how they formed StARS to help refugees in the Middle East.
